Although Maine was not an uncommon setting in the silent era, relatively few films set there was actually filmed in the state. Included in this collection are several comedic and dramatic short subjects shot on location in Maine paired with the feature-length drama Timothy’s Quest, the only surviving production by Portland-based Dirigo Films.
